How it works
Scissor Lift systems, explained.
A scissor mechanism driven by hydraulic cylinders lifts or lowers the platform vertically. In pit installations, the lower car is lowered into the pit so both cars can be used independently, and the closed lift leaves a flat floor.
Pit models need a waterproofed pit with drainage and structural approval. Surface-mounted mid-rise models need a level slab.
Where it fits
- Villas and premium homes
- Underground garages with pits
- Showrooms and workshops
- Sites where posts would block doors
Why choose it
- No posts: a clean, open platform
- Independent access with pit installations
- Hidden when closed
- Smooth hydraulic motion
FAQ
Scissor & Pit Parking Lifts: FAQ
Can’t find your answer? Ask an engineer or message us on WhatsApp.
Do scissor parking lifts need a pit?
Pit models do, and give independent access to both cars. Surface-mounted mid-rise lifts work without a pit.
Are scissor lifts suitable for servicing cars?
Mid-rise scissor lifts are popular for tyre and brake work. For full under-car access, choose a two-post service lift.
What capacity do your scissor lifts have?
Typically 2,000–2,500 kg. Check each model for exact figures.
