How it works
Lift-Slide Puzzle systems, explained.
Pallets are arranged in a grid of levels and columns. The ground level slides sideways; the upper levels lift and lower. To retrieve a car, the system slides the pallets below it to open a vertical path and lowers the car to the entry level. Each level except the top keeps one empty space for shuffling.
Each column needs roughly 2.5–2.7 m of width and about 6 m of depth for cars up to 5 m long. Level heights can be mixed for sedans and SUVs.
Where it fits
- Apartment and condominium basements
- Office buildings and business parks
- Hospitals, schools and public buildings
- Retrofitting existing surface car parks
Why choose it
- Independent access to every car
- Modular: 2 to 6 levels, any number of columns
- Little or no pit required
- PLC control with IC card, keypad or touch screen
Applications
Lift-Slide Puzzle projects

Residential Basement Retrofit with a 3-Level Puzzle System
Turning 8 surface bays in an apartment basement into 22 independent spaces without digging a pit.
How many cars does a puzzle system hold?
Spaces = levels × columns − (levels − 1). A 3-level, 5-column system holds 13 cars.
How long does it take to get a car out?
Usually about one to two minutes, depending on the level of the car and the number of pallets that need to slide.
Can a puzzle system be installed outdoors?
Yes. We recommend hot-dip galvanised steel, a roof over the top level and outdoor-rated electrical components.
